Darley Model 2

I've been working on restoring this siren off and on for a bit now. I've gotten the siren back together and operating, ran it to ~30hz on a VFD and it was way too loud to continue >30hz. I was wondering if anyone could give me a ballpark figure on what this thing will be worth all put back together with new ID tags and a fresh automotive grade paint job on the housing?

Looks like you caught a nice rarity, as Darley Model 2's are quite uncommon! But depending on the motor's, housing's and chopper's condition, it may cost a bit, not to mention the ID tag and housing for this siren are not produced any more.

Thanks for fixing my link.

Everything under the housing is complete, was media blasted and then repainted. I've replaced the bearings and brushes, resprayed insulating varnish on the rotor, revarnished the stator and replaced all fasteners with new stainless ones. The housing I have and it's complete as well, just needs a bit of straightening before I repaint it. I also have the ID tags and am going to have them reproduced.

Any ball park on what I should value this at when completed?

PM sent. I usually sell Model 2's in the $450 range when I've completely overhauled them, that includes redoing the housing.

The ID tag and the rarity have no affect on the value of the siren. It's still just a Federal model 2 inside a Darley housing.
