Three Mile Island, ACA Gone or Replaced?

Hello,
I understand that Three Mile Island had a system of ACA P-10's, P-15's, and Cyclones installed back in the early 1980's. They were replaced by a newer system of 2001's and T-128's. But as for the status of these ACA sirens, have they all been completely dismantled or partially replaced defective ones?

As far as I know, they were all replaced.

Darn. I really liked ACA and their P-10's. I wonder if they were scrapped or donated.

Their 2001s and lone T-121 were replaced in the process too. Anything that was non-T128 was pulled.

All of the ones in the TMI system are done since June 2013, there are a few left on their poles. However, there is still one Cyclone left in service as a fire siren at the Londonderry FD.

Almost all of the Cyclones have now been removed, the Cyclone at Londonderry has also been taken down and replaced with a T-128... I am not sure if it sounds for the fire department or not anymore. There were 3 sirens in the system that did double duty as fire sirens, Londonderry, Hummelstown and New Cumberland... of those Londonderry and New Cumberland were both Cyclones and the one in Hummelstown was a P-10 that was replaced by a 2001 that was now replaced by a T-128. I am not sure that any of the 3 still use the TMI siren as a fire siren, all of the sirens in the system were taken down and either used for parts for other sirens or scrapped. Being in emergency services and living so close to TMI (with both my parents having worked there) I had an inside line on getting my hands on a few, but let us be honest.. what in the heck was I going to do with a 50 HP 3 phase siren? I would have been happy to get one of the 2001's for use at my department but those were all being put back in service in other places or being sold by the removal company. I have heard from a few sources that the Hershey Fire Department obtained one of the Cyclones to use as a fire siren but I have yet to be confirm that.

You should try to obtain one, even if you don't know with it, its a collector's item. Don't let it be scrapped(if you can at least..)
