The Fire Escape Model 5- Still Active?

I found a Federal Signal Model 5 right here (and rainbow water tower): https://www.google.com/maps/place/Oakla ... a=!3m7!1e1 It looks like it used to be part of an abandoned volunteer fire station known as The Fire Escape. There is a 2001-SRN just down the road, so it is defiantly not part of the county system, but I have a few questions: Is it still active as a fire siren? Was it ever a part of the county system, or was it just used as a fire siren? Any sort of info on this siren would be greatly appreciated!

I doubt it's still active at all. I don't see any wires going to that pole, and it appears Lawrence has a paid professional fire department now (about 1.2 miles up the road from there): http://www.indianafiretrucks.com/Statio ... tionId=936

I can't answer whether it was ever part of the county system but I'm sure someone else here can.

I was looking on Google Maps, and it looks like back in 2007, before the new system was even planned out, this siren wasn't connected to a power source, so it apparently never was part of the county system. I'm curious if it still even works. Maybe I could purchase it
