I recently obtained an AF timer (Thanks Jeb!) for the Model 1. I did a recording of it up close and 1000 feet away and ran it in alert and attack. Lucky me the upper portion of Columbus's system failed to run, so the siren has a nice solo run. The motor on it had enough kick to make the siren do a 360 when I started it in alert, needs to be anchored down. For those wondering why it winds down so much smoother than a 2, it's bigger and has a heavier 9 inch rotor that's closed on the bottom. It got right up to speed this time around and peaks at 614 Hz. That's 4605 RPM for the math folk.
