I have 2 more "discovered" siren locations, Melrose City fire department has a STH-10 as of 2011 streetview and appears to still be there on bird's eye https://www.google.com/maps/place/Melro ... 9618?hl=en , and Keystone Heights VFD had a model 5, however sometime bewteen the 2011 and 2015 streetview it was removed from the pole and the pole itself was shortened for some reason. We can only hope it is in storage or fell into the hands of a collector, though not very likely unfortunately. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Keyst ... 4892?hl=en

On Another note, since this was last thing I mentioned previously, the Crystal River system seems fine and should still be testing every Friday at noon like always until the reactor is 100% decommissioned.

On yet more notes, Going by an earlier post out of boredom on google maps, I decided to search for the Crescent City 2001, any clue as to where it is located? Also is there any word on the Hawthorne screamer after its apparent vine removal and antenna install?

Oh and somehow never mentioned this, but I read an article a while back about a place called Keaton Beach installing a a Whelen after a storm caught many people off guard and ended up killing a few. You can see said Whelen here. I also presume this whelen is still active as is quite new obviously. https://www.google.com/maps/search/Fire ... 6656?hl=en

@Railfan99 Didn't know Winter Park had any sirens, but Oviedo's system is quite common knowledge at this point, except I only found the 2001 located at friendship park.

Thought this post would be a good way to kick off 2017! :P
I found something on Facebook from the Citrus County Sheriff's Office that says the sirens have been decommissioned and are going to get removed at some point. Here's the post: https://www.facebook.com/sheriffcitrus/ ... 5761628894

There are two Thunderbolts remaining in Tampa Bay. One is on top of the Pinellas County Jail (murrfarms has a video of it going off on his YouTube Channel), and the other is on top of the Municipal Services Building in downtown St. Petersburg.

@TOXBOX12 Winter Park has a Modulator at the Amtrak/SunRail station, and a couple 2001s. I don't know the location of the 2001s to be honest, but I've seen the Mod before. :2001: :mod:

That is a shame, these were the first sirens I had ever heard and got me into the hobby, I knew something was off. Well, all things come to an end.But I did have a gut feeling they would be decommissioned soon as the plant had been.

EDIT: Also thanks for the mod location.

Second Edit, removed inquiry about testing times as found out on website.

@TOXBOX12 I actually show the Mod in this video I took of my first ride on SunRail. It's a single cell MOD 1004.

@TOXBOX12 That is DEFINITELY a Thunderbolt. The building that it's mounted on is the Municipal Services Building in Downtown St. Petersburg. It's an old 50s era Thunderbolt 1000, installed to warn of enemy missiles from Russia during the Cold War.

@Railfan99 It was confirmed very early on, and I was more joking about saying it was not, if you looked another user got very nice pictures of it on a previous post. Just saying.

These whelens are in multiple locations in the area surrounding the FPL Turkey Point Nuclear Power Plant. Here is a decent video of one in Princeton, FL. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnQOkRMmoZQ

EDIT: Youtube embeding does not seem to work for me, so removed the marks for it.
