Does Ohio have any Allertors?

Does Ohio have any working Allertors or Mobil Directo's? And if so, does anyone know when they test? I'm willing to travel to record one.

Found it easily by going to VASiren's Ohio siren map and doing Control+f and typing in Allertor. Only 1 result, which was that one.

Allertors are somewhat common in Northeast Ohio, with one being on State Route 62 in Beloit. Whether it still works, I'm not sure. There was a short time where they took the siren off the pole and on a drive a few months later, it was back up. https://www.google.com/maps/@40.9015236 ... 56!6m1!1e1

With the head facing that direction, it looks about the same as I saw a while ago. It may have moved. When I take my next trip to Salem (in an attempt to record their 508 or EOWS 612), I'll stop by and give an update.

I know there's an Allertor installed in Batavia (suburb east of Cincinnati), but I'm not sure if it's working currently.

Springdale (suburb north of Cincinnati) used to have one, but was replaced by a T-128 in 2009. It was replaced, due to a simple rotator problem. It was installed close to a church, and the first T-128 that replaced it was installed right next to the church, and the pastor decided to knock it down with a bobcat. So a new T-128 was installed months later, in close to the same spot, and the church had to pay $25,000. Thankfully, they've been putting up with it after all of these years.

If I remember correctly, Dayton used to have a bunch of Allertors, and Screamers a little whie ago. I even saw a Craigslist post for them too, and there were about 2-3 sirens there, one being an Allertor and the others being Screamers. (They were either screamers or Banshees, what they were exactly I can't remember).

I am pretty sure Dayton doesn't have too many sirens other the handful I have seen, they have a P-10/15, a T-128 I think, and there was a T-bolt down the road from the T-128 but I think it's gone now, but those are standard sirens anymore lol.

Dayton has quite a few STH-10's, many of the suburbs have a system as well.

I like your signature. ;)

Well the city of Dayton no longer has an active siren system. Those T-128s you saw are probably in Moraine.

There is one T-128 at a fire department in northern Dayton.
