The Westminster Chimes do sound creepy from a distance. I do wish there was a recording of all 8 bars without any talking. However, it would have been better if it used the 16 bar chimes.

I have 2 audio recordings of them doing alert (not mine, downloaded from another thread about the Fernald EOWS system), listening through them it does seem like they have dropped in pitch from 1984/1986. (Also, what causes no wind down?)

Can you upload the recordings?

I believe there is a switch on the controller which allows the signal to the drivers to just cut out, but I could be wrong.

I seen this a few times before. Makes me wish Federal would offer the SiraTone style chimes as an option on the UV.
