Sterling M-10 (?) Restoration

This summer the Castine Fire Rescue Dept Station's Sterling M-10 16/16 (?) siren (circa. 1940-50s) was removed and completely and professionally restored by A.C. Electric in Bangor, Maine. I can't begin to describe the above and beyond effort put forth by the electrical shop and the crew in the siren's renovation. The quality of work, especially in light of the scant documentation available (including no motor nameplate data), is superb. The siren is literally better than new because of modern parts and techniques in motor rebuilding. If anyone has any comments as to the actual model of the siren shown in the video, please feel free as I really don't know much about it. The motor shop had to reverse engineer much of what was done and then use their expertise to perform the overhaul.

Beautiful restoration! Love the color, and it looks nice and shiny like it came from the factory! Shout-out to A.C. Electric!
