So I see quite a few of these around, but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information on them. What is the difference between a Sterling 3V8 and a Darley 3V8? I have a few photos to accompany this question.

This one has 8 ports and a single cone on top.

I'm pretty sure this is an 8-port as well, and it's got some kind of weird custom thing going on.

This one has 12 ports and two cones.

And this 8-porter also has two cones, but the bottom one is bigger. The "legs" seem to be a little different too.

Based on what I've seen, the top three would be Darleys and the fourth one a Sterling. The two on top have custom caps. But I'm not sure about this. Does anyone have the answer?

From what I can tell, all the pictures you posted are of Darley 3V8's.

This: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sT-6M4OQfjo
is a Sterling 2V8.

I know what a Sterling 2V8 is, but they also made a 3V8 (prior to the Sentry model), which Darley sold a modified version of (kinda like they did with the Model X series). I was wondering how you can tell the difference. What did Darley change on the siren?
