Reedsburg's 500 not working

Reedsburg WI Federal 500 Has stopped working. Once it is taken down it will be fixed by Red Arrow siren service.

Reedsburg.s Federal 500 Has Been REPLACED! By A Federal 2001-130.
Red Arrow Siren got the 500 so you don't need to call the city. It is belaved the motor is burnt out. IT is a Single Phase 500. No need to worry It may run again I have a Single Phase motor off a 2t22 that may fit the 500.

That's too bad that they ended up replacing it. So will the 2001-130 be used only for noon whistles and fire calls? Is the Thunderbolt 1003 still going to be used for tornado warnings?

Thunderbolt was removed a few years ago. Josh (Bearlovessox) had it for a while, Tom in Sheboygan now has it. The 500 had been functioning as all 3 sirens since then.
Any pictures of the 130 installation? And I thought they were going using ASC since the last new siren was a T-135?

well thats sad. makes me sad to see an old beast like that go, but at least it may be repaired. but srsly, a 2001-130? they totally should have gone with asc.

The 2001-130 is more than a good enough replacement for a single phase 500. It will match and probably do better than the 500 in quite a few ways, such as sound output, coverage, decibels etc. Don't forget the 2001-130's advantages, such as a direct drive rotator, battery back-up and so on. Besides, it was going to die sooner or later: things don't go on for ever you know.
Just as a quick clarification, what was the Thunderbolt's replacement (if it hasn't already been mentioned somewhere else on the board)
