Just curious as to if anyone here has made their own warning siren. I've made one out of an iBlaster orb. it's only temporary, as I am hoping to get a few loudspeakers outside my house to replace the current indoor one. See The channel in my signature to see the video of it doing a time & temp announcement

Here's a homemade siren in Colerain Township, Ohio outside of Cincinnati that was built in the 1980s by some guys who ran a machine shop which it sat on top of. Those people sold the building to our local trash/recycling company in 2007, and they sold the building to someone else in 2009. Around 2015 or so, everything was removed.
This siren has two separate heads for two tones. The higher toned head is the horn shown through most of the video, while the lower toned head is the box shown towards the end of the video. This was in Hamilton County's system, but unknown if it was disconnected or inactive at all before it was removed.

Hamilton County sure has some odd sirens, doesn't it?

The Model 120 sirens were not homemade but were custom engineered by a former employee at the SONGS plant here in southern California and were installed in 1982. They were all replaced in February 2006 with Whelen 2810s.

The Model 120 sirens that were at the SONGS plant here in southern California were hand built in the late 80s.
Never seen one. Thanks for the info!
