HO Scale (1:87 scale) Mini Thunderbolt?

Wed Apr 04, 2018 2:08 pm

I forget the company who makes/made them, but I bought one online for $20 some years back.Unfortunately, I currently don't have pictures of it, and I thought it would be interesting to note that they also make Model 2's, Model 5's and 3T22 sirens. And, you can actually rotate the T-bolt! Well, we had to glue mine because it kept falling off when I rotated it, but eventually the glue wore off, and I put it on/off the pole, and on occasion, use it for a scrap load on one of my gondola cars. Aside from the piece of cardboard we put the pole on, it looks cool as a freight load.

Anyway, enough of my babbling, does anyone know the company or have heard of it? If anyone does, feel free to post a link.

Ralph Ratcliffe Models made the 1:87 Thunderbolt, along with a Model 2, Model 5, STH-10, and 2T22, all in 1:87. Unfortunately, his website was taken down a while ago, but rumor has it you can still contact him via Facebook for a special order. I hope this helps!

I can confirm you can still get them through the owner on FB. I got some last September through Ralph Ratcliffe. I asked to order some, he sent me a paypal invoice, I paid it, then everything was G2G from there.
