I wanted to go record the model 5 this Monday because next Monday all of the teachers will be there and i do not want to look suspicious video taping the school. Anyways, i was up there waiting for it to go off, noon comes around and nothing. Finally around 12:10 i start to leave when it goes off! Just my luck! But i still got it, and it did the full 3 minute alert. Anyways can anyone tell me how many ports it has? BTW when it is winding down i zoomed in on the motor its self so you could see it spinning. Another question, how many db loud is it? It wasn't as loud as i thought it would be.

I think this is the high tone siren with 12 ports, and the sound output is 105dB at 100'.

This is a 12 port. They're 105db @ 100ft. I was about 30 feet on axis from our station 441's 5 this saturday, and it was not bad at all.

I thought so. It is still loud enough where i can hear it in the worst of storms (I am 5 blocks from it) I have a handful of mondays off this comming school year and will try and re-record it with a wind up ASAP.
