Yes it is on a mount for a different siren. Not sure where it came from as the Model 5 was on the roof of the old fire station prior to being pole mounted.

D-Did they just hacksaw a SD-10 (given the round base and short intake) to fit it on a Model 5?

Could very well be an SD-10 intake. Given they bolt onto the stator a hacksaw would only be necessary for when the bolts get stuck. Perhpas the department holds a spairs unit. Since they seem to have done the job well, as in painting every part and using new hardware, it should work just fine.

The Model 5 used to be painted a green or gray color and was on a tower on the roof of the old station in the same spot.
