Charlotte had four other 500-DHTTs at these coordinates:
35.23773, -80.81641
35.20264, -80.82223
35.20769, -80.86169
35.24102, -80.8616
They were from 1955, the one that was on top of the Johnston building was bought the following year. They were all roof mounted.

I add in former siren locations to the map with a black pin for historical reference. On an unrelated note, I have the locations of all the Shearon-Harris sirens I'll be adding soon

That's because they were removed.

Oh. No wonder why they were never seen on street camera.
Also, the former siren with a tri-pole mount was a Fedelcode Model 5.

When I look at avon NC there supposedly is a model 5, but the map doesnt show one
There is a pin for Avon showing an active model 5 (it's located in the hose tower).
That's what I thought, but I don't think it was active since I stayed about a block away and never heard any siren activations, perhaps it is finally inactive now? I'm sure there are pagers there. On the other hand, I can confirm that Buxton has at least one fire siren still active, I heard an activation while going fishing there in the summer.

Don't want to prove you wrong or anything, but here are some new SHNPP siren locations,

End of Bartley Holleman Road, near another Whelen at the boat launch

End of Caley Wilson Road

Opposite of Copper Frogg's Outdoor Living Center

Smith Road in Cary, near Knights Play Golf Center

Opposite of Holly Springs Pediatrics, on N Main St

I am recording one of the sirens tomorrow, is anyone else recording?
