Thoughts and prayers go out to this fire department. The model 2 at the fire station is safe. This is a reason why it’s always wise to have Pole-Mounted sirens!

Very sorry about this, I hope they will be able to rebuild quickly and effectively.

In 2016, Great Cacapon, WV VFD lost their station to a fire, as well as their roof-mounted Model 5 (or 7) and backup Darley 3V8. I could hear the Model 5 from my house, which I miss. They've rebuilt but don't have a new siren yet. It would make sense for them to get a new Sentry since they're in a very rural and rugged area with poor pager connection.

I think the state of the siren is really the lowest of concerns here.

You’re right, I feel very bad for the fire department too. Just because I mentioned the siren is ok doesn’t mean I don’t have any respect for the fire department. Just had to let people know the siren was alright.

What irony.
