The mechanism doesn't look too worn, it's almost as if the siren hasn't been used up too much.

It doesnt matter what the ports and motors are. In fact, the super sirex did have a 50 horsepower 10 port variant in Indianapolis, and the one in holyoke is a 40hp variant. Also, the one in Adrian MO is actually 10/10 port like the one shown in this thread. The sirens in Madison WI and Toledo OH are 9/9 models.

Way cleaner in the table than I expected. My expected rebuild may just be a repaint and regrease, that would be incredible if it happens that way. . Going to doublecheck wiring insulation also, ages and cracks sometimes. Just doing what I would do for an old schoolbus. Those are what I really like to work with.

I have a 40hp 10/10 port siren like yours from Phoenix. Both motors are Westinghouse brand and the siren is in excellent condition. I'm pretty sure the 10/10 port siren is a lot louder than the 9 port, the rotors are a lot wider.

The two at imperial dam are still their. In a drone video from 2017, you can see the white one still their. I have no idea if it's still there since the streetview was last updated in Dec 2007. I agree. Alot if HOR history being passed on. Now just have to find the inventors notes, lol.
