The HOR Si-Rex S1. What exactly is is it and how rare could it be?

So I recently found a small HOR siren on ebay. I bought it and it is now on the way. That being said, the id plate called it an HOR Si-Rex S1. Im curious as to what this model could be and how rare it truly is. Ive never heard of it before. The chopper and stator are 6 1/2 inches in diameter, bigger than a Model A’s but smaller than a Model 2’s.

Dang! I don't have many answers but I just have to comment that that's a really awesome find. We clearly have so much yet to know about HOR. Cool cool purchase!

Good find. Here's one I got off eBay. It appears to be the same thing you have, except it's got a light/flasher added onto it. HOR S-L-8.

Those are very interesting! I wonder how much you got it for, those things look pretty old. I don't know much about H.O.R. sirens but I do know that what you have there is quite a rarity!

Not yours but one of Harry's early parents.

Oh wow that's awesome! Considering you have a Super Si-Rex Model 50, I knew you'd know more about HOR than I do. I recently found a video on youtube of someone who restored an HOR that looked exactly like mine. He never set it off in the video and the quality was not good, but i can definitely use the video as reference when i restore it.

Edit: I looked through your post on your Model 50 once and saw something that said the Si-Rex series had sirens with as low as a 1/8 hp engine all the way up to 7 1/2 hp I believe. Could this be one of those smaller models in the Si-Rex line-up considering it has a "Si-Rex" id plate? I doubt it, but there is a possibility.

That things awesome! Did you buy it like that or was it already restored? Does it work too?

Edit: Just realized the way they spelled guarantee. lol

Pretty sure that's the original paint. I suspect it was removed from a fire apparatus after a couple years of use and stored in a station for a while before being listed on Ebay. It works

Wow, that's freakin awesome. That's rare enough that you have that, but for it to be in such good condition is really astounding to me.

I believe Si-Rex was actually it's own company for a while. Sometime in its like it was owned by Harry and HOR. This from a trusted fellow enthiast, not sure if he is on Ars or not.
