The thing is that I've seen quite a few pictures of them, and they appear to be either 9 ports or 12 ports (I guess?)
For the HP I didn't knew but look at the pictures, it seems that there is two models of this siren, one with the 9 ports and one with the 12 ports, and the one with the 9 ports looks like it's the one that's the so called "paint can" house on it

Actually he said that it's not B&M, but I'm not sure about that, it's pretty difficult to say who is right and who's wrong actually... I hope this VFD station will finally restore that sirens, since they said that they WILL do it but it was one year ago so...

The tag on the motor is the same of those that are seen on other large B&M sirens, according to Oliver Valerio.

Actually because the motor was manufactured by the same company I guess, it have the same logo but it's not "B&M" branded

Never mind, just checked the FB page and saw that it was discovered to be a Weltex. Guess I never saw the post that said it was a Weltex

The siren photographed by Ty Bellfy is actually a B&M siren. Note the 4 leg mount and overall differences in design. Though the motor is similar, much better photos were posted and as I recall there was a pretty obvious B&M logo in a zoomed in shot of the tag.

EDIT: Now I see more replies to the tread pointing this out. Oh well.

On another note I've yet to see any hard evidence of the paintcan housing sirens actually being manufactured by Weltex. Nor do I see any similarities in the sirens Adam posted to the paintcan style sirens that have been found, other than being remotely similar in design. Just hearsay and assumptions. So if anyone has a photo of the tag on one of these things I'd love to see it.

I HATE to be that guy, but being in this community for such a long time has taught me what we think we ALL know can be totally incorrect as new information is posted. Unfortunately it seems some of us have information and refuse to share it because of the "I know something you don't know" mentality. Never good for history. But I suppose that's public forum.

I'd say the biggest similarities between the Weltex in Adam Pollak's first pic and the siren in Donald Osmers' pic is the the legs on both sirens have the same bend in them, and both sirens have nearly identical stator designs. It seems they sold different sizes of sirens, with the design varying slightly between all of them.

I posted it in mystery sirens, and I was told it’s either a Weltex, or an E.D. Bullard. I’m going with a Weltex missing its top hat thing, as it doesn’t have the conical chopper that vertical Bullards do. It’s only a 40 minute drive from me, so I might be able to ask the fire department about it.
