So i came across looking for foreign air raid sirens around the world when i think i may have came across an asian country using a 8/12 siren used by the U.S? can anyone confirm it's a aca cyclone or is it a taiwan equivalent? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhhnqZ1 ... be&t=0m35s

Sirens were sent to Taiwan according to one of ACA's promotional tapes, and Cyclones have been spotted in Taiwan, but it's a bit of a hot potato as there are something like 3 types that have been spotted if I recall correctly. They are:
Normal Cyclone
Cyclone that has the motor on the bottom and the motor shroud shielding the intake instead
Same as the above but it is single tone instead of dual tone. Now that's cool IMO.

I found a video of a Cyclone in Taiwan that shows the siren a while back... I'll see if I can find it again. There are a few pictures including an "upside down" Cyclone in this thread: https://www.airraidsirens.net/forums/vi ... 4&start=10 They seem to typically be mounted on steel towers instead of poles, but that is a common theme with sirens in Asia.

Doesn't quite have the same roar as the 8 port side of the cyclone, at least in my opinion

Additionally, I think I can faintly hear a 16-port undertone.

In fact, ISTM that those sirens aren't even Cyclones at all but rather special models made for Taiwan.

I think it is a 8/16 port siren , but I’m not sure , but the shape looks a little bit like a ACA Cyclone, hope one day we have a photo of this siren ;)
