Scarborough, ON Whelen 2805 Whoop & Alert Signal

So when Toronto East CAER (Community Awareness and Emergency Response) posted that they were testing the sirens on Facebook I jumped at the opportunity to see my very first Whelen siren test!
It shook the ground almost like the thunderbolt in Sarnia!.

Very nice. A university I used to attend (I transferred out) has four Whelens that make this same whoop sound. They're tested once per semester and were set off for a weather emergency during a major campus event I was at.

Cool there is another set of Whelens in London, Ontario at Western University that did sound for a tornado warning in 2013 and they supposedly test it every Wednesday at noon but I emailed them and they do a quiet test every Wednesday instead of an audible test. They do audible tests on the first Wednesday of the month at noon for some reason...
