First successful siren test of the year, and it's yet another ambience from my back yard! Of course, this was admittedly due to me waking up only a few minutes before the test, and not having a car (as it was in the shop at the time of this video). However, I do suppose something's better than nothing, and, IMHO, this ambience always sounds nice.

Madison County, AL tests on the 1st Wednesday of every month at noon, weather permitting. If the test isn't able to be conducted on the 1st Wednesday, it's then delayed to the 2nd Wednesday of the month at noon, weather permitting.

Sentry sirens have absolutely beautiful and chilling ambience. I used to live 3 miles from the 10V in my profile picture and I remember how well it penetrated the house even from that distance, a haunting, hair-raising wail that couldn't be blocked by the walls.
