B&N Mobil Directo and ACA Allertor past and present map

Sat Apr 04, 2020 4:05 am

Hi.. I've been working on a useless map because of this social-distance stuff.

Here is a view link to the map:https://drive.google.com/open?id=1UcIyK ... sp=sharing

I'm also looking for locations for these sirens. If you want, you can request a siren location here:https://forms.gle/Pubq29ZWM7rjQVcV8

This is a work in progress and will go on to be a big siren map!

I know of a few locations. Let me think about it for a minute first.

So just to be clear, you do not (according to your form) want any of the final generation, long-horn, 9/12 port Allertors? You just want 8/12 and 10/12 port, short-horn Allertors?

Removed back in the 1990s or Early 2000s. This is not yet comfirmed but i saw a post a few years ago for a Allertor being replaced by a SRN

Here's the remaining Allertors in Virginia from D.C.'s CD system:

Philomont, used for storm warnings: https://goo.gl/maps/Fg7XapqxsdMpKTzW6
Arcola, usage unknown: https://goo.gl/maps/FLJJrW48YrZjxjfU8
Lucketts, probably inactive: https://goo.gl/maps/w1ujuWBchmYn5hvp7
Architecture preservationist. I enjoy obscure history and mapping things, and grew up around sirens. Not planning to own one.
