Golden City Siren Massacre

Today I went for a rather long siren hunt heading towards Arma KS, I passed through Golden City on the way hoping to see their rarer Defenders. When I got there all sirens in the town were gone! I assumed they had been all removed after searching the entire town, and come across the gutted pole of what looked like a sentry install in the exact location of that Defender. I have pictures to be uploaded later. The Model 2s, 3V8, and the Defenders are now gone.

Sounds so unlike a place in Kansas. But come on, you cannot force people to rely solely on electronics for severe weather notifications!

Golden City is in missouri, but I did get a few good rarer finds in Kansas! I pictured a Darley Model 5, Denver Siren, Sterling M-10, Federal Electric Type B and many others.

I would wait and see if any sirens are being sold in that area, could be ex Golden City Sirens.

Golden City was hit by an EF-3 tornado last year that unfortunatley killed 3 people. It is likely that those sirens got yeeted by that tornado.

You do have a point about this, but from my find of a gutted sentry install pole of one of those defenders, it looks like the removal was done by workers not a tornado, unless the siren was damaged in some way and completely removed later.

It was probably removed. I doubt Sentry offers replacement parts for the Defender.
