Hey, a video got recommended to me on YouTube lately about the Red Alert sirens in Israel,

Take a look here:
https://youtu.be/vBqsyALQZIY
https://youtu.be/wytlhTJXhsc

----

In both those videos, you can hear multiple sirens with different wail tones, one is like a soft wail tone, and one is kind of warble wail kind of (the warble wail tone: https://youtu.be/3RFfuuAMy_o)

But I'm trying to find a video of the soft wail tone (shown here: https://youtu.be/ln57hmG9EGg)

I mean, do you think they're both Hörmanns? I just can't seem to find many videos with the same tones Israel use. They're very eerie. Ideas?

The sirens that have a warble tone you are hearing are Hormann ECN-3000's. There are a large number of them scattered throughout the area. They are programmed with a wail tone as opposed to a more typical fast wail or attack that sustains in pitch. The other sirens are ATI HPSS32's that were installed a number of years ago to replace the older mechanical and pneumatic sirens they had. The pneumatic sirens consisted of HLS-F71's and a few HLS-273s in the mix. I have no idea on who made the mechanical sirens. The ATI's have also been customized dropping the peak pitch of the wail from 740 or 850 Hz (I've seen both) to roughly 690 and the alert up from 575 to 690 Hz to match the wail with a wind up and wind down. There are some in the mix that shipped without the customized tones.
