The Siren Board

Hey all.

Being from Australia, and wanting to get a Federal Signal Model 2, I was wondering what modifications I would need to do to make it work. First off, Australia runs off 240v 50hz as single phase. I know there is a 2-240, but it's 240v 60hz, so it wouldn't work. Considering the Model 2 has a brush motor system, I'm not too sure how much I would have to replace.

A Model 2-240 would run fine in Australia. It would just run slower.

Like Synther said, it would run, just slower. It's like Carter sirens. In the UK they have their own chilling sound. If you ran them off of 60hz here in America, it would sound more like an XT22.
