The songs of the Marumitsu Sendai siren have been posted to YouTube:

Alas, I return with more news. Someone reached out to Yamagata Miyama city hall and the city responded stating the music siren might be used again if it is still functional.

While it's been sitting dormant and inactive for over 25 years, with some repairs, I believe the siren may become operational again.

Hello,
About Okayamas siren..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwqsqCq ... Gj&index=6

So, this video is not new, and I bet many have already seen this. But I just now realized, that this video was taken on 2016/08/31, which is the date this siren was sounded for the last time.
The song heard is "home road / going home", which usually played at 5pm, and was the last melody of the day.

In the video we hear the very last time this siren ever played "home road".
This was (most likely) the second to last performance of this siren.
From that day, the siren stood silent until June this year, when the siren was removed..

It gives the video a new, sad but precious meaning.

Sorry, this is nothing important, just felt like sharing it here.

EDIT:

Once again, the language barrier had me confused.
(Didn't know "Home road / Going home" and "Ievi" were the same melody..)

This, in fact, was THE FINAL performance of this siren.

Another great video of the final performance:

I wonder if someone bought that siren :D

Gosh I'd really love to have one of these units. When I'm a millionaire someday maybe I can special-order one from Yamaha or something.

What was the point in copy/pasting the original post, and then adding nonsense dates to it?

I can't tell which song this is, or if this is a song, but this video shows one of the units VERY clearly.( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dq32VQZwRx0 )

You should see the numerous forged videos he makes using other people's content. He's been doing this for over two months now and I don't care enough to tell him to stop anymore.

This video is a combination of the three songs TOKIWA Main Store's music siren plays. Notice how every time the camera angle changes, it's a different time of day.
