I went to Beadle County yet again to record the Vortex-O3 in Cavour, the old siren is still mounted on the water tower and I was told it will stay there.
The siren is tested on a weekly basis at 12 PM CDT for 1 minute
THey use the sirens for tornado warnings and tests only.
