Dual-headed Darley Champion "video"

Here's my new Darley Champion "video." It's actually a still shot because the camera I had at that time could not focus any tighter. Since the siren is in the middle of a large, flat roof (and there always seem to be fire personnel standing around outside), one has to get a block away from the station to see it. This siren has an amazing range, as noted in the video notes, and can routinely be heard three miles away under most conditions. Along with the STL-10, these were some of the best-sounding single-tone sirens made.

Nice recording. Sounds a lot like a dual headed T-128 or single toned Allertor.

Glad to see that the board is back online. Just a note that I altered my earlier Youtube videos by adding still photos of the sirens or horns, since the resolution is so poor on the video portions. It shows, for example, that the horn setup in Dunsmuir, CA, is not the typical Federal 8-10-8 setup, but that each horn is a different size. The small one is not working in the video.

Love how it has that nice echo during the wind down.
