I recently been to these sirens a took photos. I'll upload them later as I can't right now.
I called the fire department, and they don't test, it only sounds for fire calls as you said. It's also possibly currently out of service as of now.

It sounds like they recently fixed the 2905. I have a friend that lives next to the building it’s on, and he said it made a small beep every so often like the batteries were dead, but i’m not sure if it even runs on a battery. Also, it hasn’t sounded in about 3 months, but yesterday I heard them test hi-lo, fast wail, and alert, and today I’ve heard 3 air horn soundings. So, I think they fixed it.

I wish I was there for that hi-lo test. I may give them another call to check up on its activity. I've definitely heard some Whelen in fast wail in Hastings, but it sounded extremely far away. I also have a recording of an air horn ambiance, and but before I started recording there it seemed like there were two sirens.

Wow, the far shots look great! I’m jealous that I couldn’t have gotten that far back. Was it near Chase bank?

Yep, right around here:

I walked onto the lot and took it from there. Prior to this, I thought it was a 4 cell but then realized it was actually five.

That Whelen is a 2805, not a 2905. You can tell because it has bigger screens, but some are missing.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't sure exactly what it was because I've been told both

2800=Larger screens 2900=smaller screens
