Old Hurricane location in Centraila IL

I was wondering if the location i found was the place that the hurricane was located.

nice thanks. it would be cooler if they had photo spheres taken before it was taken down.

this location has been known for a while. I believe a member of this forum owns/owned the head from that hurricane, not sure. It was a square head.

Calvin Meyer owns the head of Centralia's Hurricane 130.

As far as I've seen, it's just the head so far, unless Calvin makes a video on it, we'll know.

Yes, that's where it was installed. Funny story, the siren was sold to the city in the spring of 1968. It was installed on roof the local Chevrolet dealer that was on the corner of East McCord and North Elm until the summer of 1973 when it was relocated to its permanent position on the long lines tower. Here are some old photos I have of it before removal. Calvin does indeed own the whole shebang by the way.
