Cincinnati OH's Thunderbolt 1000 atop Park Place Apartments. Back in the day, this used to be RL Polk Elementary School before it became an office building and then apartments.

Back in 2015, something went wrong with the RTU and this thunderbolt didn't sound. It never got fixed anyway, since the new system was being put in.

Several of the sirens in Hall County, GA are near, at, or directly on top of schools. Somewhere in the system there is a 2001-130 that is mounted atop one of the buildings at the UNG Gainesville campus. All of the Vortexes in downtown Gainesville are near schools as well.

Two public schools here (High Park and Lansdowne) in Sarnia, ON have ATI HPSS-32 units placed directly next to the schools, to warn of chemical spills and explosions as well as severe weather. One is mounted right next to a playground, which I'm sure must be fun for the kids on testing day!

The Elementary school I attended had a 2T22 across the street from the playground, and test time was during recess, that thing scared the hell out of me, just knowing it was test day was enough to have me scared all day. I would purposely dawdle on my work so I'd have to stay inside on test day!

The siren has since been removed when the town revamped the whole system with 2001 series.

The siren was in front of that sick looking tree in the other side of the stop sign, the brick addition (new gym) behind the school bus was not built until my last year there

There’s an FS 2001 SRN at the road entrance of DeKalb High School.
