The Siren Board

Are all three cams suppose to turn when the timer is operated? I can hold down one of the function buttons, the siren starts, the cams turn, but as soon as I let off the button, the siren stops and the cams run their normal time limit. Operator error??? or something else?

It depends witch botton you push. If you push the Alert Button, I know per fact that the siren will do a 3 Minute alert regardless.If you push attack it'll do a 1 or 3 Minute attack i don't rember witch. But if you push the TEST button, The Siren will sound alert as long as the button is depressed.

Place a jumper in between terminals 15 and 16.

I'll give the jumper a shot, Thanks. The test button is working properly and the others are running the 3 minute cycle, it's just the siren is not running unless you hold the buttons down. Thanks for the information.

Is the latching relay even working right or wired properly (i'm assuming there is one in there, don't know much about AR timers).

The jumper wire worked. Saturday was siren test day in Kalamazoo county and it worked flawlessly. Thanks for the help.

I just got an AR Timer. I hooked up power to the timer andto the siren. When you push the test button, the sire does what it is suppose to (on as long as you hold the test button down. When I hit either the attack or the alert button, the siren stays on until I hit the cancel button. The timer continues move but the siren is off.
My question is, is there another jumper I need to do besides terminal #15 & 16?. I have this unit hooked up to a Model A siren with 110 volts. The siren just will not do the Attack function (rise and fall), but instead stays on until I hit the cancel button.

You do have the timer hooked to a relay/motor starter to power the siren right? The timer simply closes a circuit to operate a motor starter or relay that provides it's own power. Think of the AR as nothing more than a big fancy light switch to control another switch, that in turn, controls the siren.

Is there a way to hook up the AR timer without it being wired to a siren?
I never tested mine. My cabinet has a transformer in it. I would presume to step down the voltage. Since it was hooked into 3 phase.
I will take some pic's and maybe you folks can help?

I posted a request earlier reference my AR Timer. Here is my probelm: I have the AR timer connected to 110 volts. I have the AR timer controling a Model A siren. I read an earlier post in reference to placing the jumper on terminal 14 & 15. When I apply power to the AR timer, the yellow light glows dimly. WHen I hit the test button, the siren stays on as long as I have the test button held down. When I hit the alert button, the siren stays on (what it is suppose to do). When I hit the attack button, the siren activates and stays on. The siren will not rise and fall. I can see the the motor turning, but it is slow.

Can someone please guide me here and make sure I have this thing hooked up right. The chrat on the door only gives proper hook up for the bottom strip (I think terminals 1-10). I do not know if I need to place a jumper somewhere else or remove a wire.. Any help would be great. This is just driving me nutts.
