I agree with championsiren- the east coast has some pretty strange setups, for example this bidirectional ATI thing.
lol what even....
does it rotate? I would think no.
EDIT after looking back at the picture there is no rotator. Disregard my previous question.
Haha, it would sure be funny if it did. I wouldn't be surprised if it tipped over. The epz of Indian Point has a few of these all pointing in different directions
Yeah. NGL that kinda was unexpected

This Thunderbolt had its chopper and motor horizontally replaced by a Type B motor and chopper, the blower is nonexistent, and the rotator housing is missing.

Mineola, NYs new temporary Thunderbolt has a vertical blower.

Got another one from an Instagram post. A Model 2 on top of an HPSS-16. What’s interesting is that the Model 2 wasn’t there in 2012. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Nile+ ... 83.1046759

Here in South Texas there are quite a few insane setups. (Links in streetview mode were way too big)

This siren has a setup that an EF0 could likely blow over
https://www.google.com/maps/@27.9499305,-97.5843112,3a,

This thing is in an equally perilous situation
https://www.google.com/maps/@27.7826659,-97.9109452,3a,

Both of these are sadly inactive
https://www.google.com/maps/@28.0377845,-97.507305,3a

This Thunderbolt is a "bruh" moment waiting to happen
https://www.google.com/maps/@28.1241616,-97.9310342,3a

The tower is huge, and yet...
https://www.google.com/maps/@27.5843749,-97.8002453,3a

This is wrong in so many ways
https://www.google.com/maps/@27.3595502,-98.125513,3a

This thing is gonna fall someday, mark my words
https://www.google.com/maps/@27.2985355,-97.8130005,3a

There are literally two towers it could be on...

The mineral wells siren has been posted here before, and the STH is on top of a fire training tower. It's not uncommon for fire departments to put sirens up there.
