It's neat that after all this time, Federal still uses the exact same collector ring tube from the Thunderbolt. I guess if it ain't broke, no need to fix it.

The rotor in the 2001 looks just like the one in my Model 5. Does anyone know if they're the same rotor?

I'd love one of the newer battery-operated sirens - it would make getting power to it a lot easier than sourcing a 3-phase generator!

The rotor is the same one as used in the Model 3. So very close.
