So I just stumbled upon this post. Not mine, but what I saw immediately was the CTI LOGO! What I ALSO saw in the comments was VERY interesting. Apparently someone went to CTI's website back in the day, and apparently they rebranded AND refurbished Thunderbolts! I, for one, would like to hear about more information on this new and exciting find!

Yes, it's been on the forum for a while now.

CTI was the siren manufacturer subdivision of a construction / siren installation company called Compliance Technologies. A man named Ben Shinn had, as far as I was able to understand, a big role in the company. Or something along those lines. Anyway, he had a little side business going where he would refurbish old sirens, Thunderbolts being among them. Those refurbished by him would receive CTI branding.

Don't quote me because I may not have correctly understood everything in the linked thread.

That's correct. CTI didn't last very long from my understanding. They folded in 2004. It's hard for a small siren business to keep up with Federal and ASC.

CtI had 3 models: The SMO-15, SMR-15, and the strange DC omnidirectional siren I don't know the name of.

"BShinn" was pretty active on The Siren Board (and the previous one) back in the day. Search his posts for some goodies. Sadly he hasn't logged in here in since early 2010.
