I've snapped a few photos of some of the old thunderbolts that are still standing around Dallas.

In the last photo, is that antenna/beacon thing a post-deactivation install, or was it there when the siren was active?

I believe it was installed when the siren was. It has been on there ever since I first saw it over 30 years ago.

Lol I don't know if it has a name but that is a good one. This one appears to have been preserved by the city of Dallas. When I was a kid, I remember a fence around the blower box there when it was still active.
