The new T-128 horn design (intentional or not)

The ASC T-128 that replaced the Sentry Defender in Argos, Indiana has a different horn design that appears to use less fiberglass.

What do you all think of it? I personally think it looks a tad sleeker, but also just....weird. It's in that uncanny valley where something looks just
that bit off from normal.
I've heard sources saying that this is due to ASC's transition from outsourcing fiberglass components to making them in-house, and that the new molds have some defect or something.
But I highly doubt that- a defect in the mold would translate to the final product having irregular deformities, which is not present in this new horn design.

looks like they've revised the design to be more efficient with fiberglass use in mind. probably just motivated by cost savings.

My thoughts exactly. "We saved 10% material with this new design" or something along those lines. that being said, I like it.

Looks good to me. Like others have said, it's probably cost related. Also much easier to control input costs and supply chain issues in house.

It really doesn't matter in the end. The only thing that raises questions for me is if they modified it on purpose and if they did, did they account for tuning differences in the projector? If that change threw off the tuning, these new 128s won't perform like old ones.

It agreeably doesn't matter, but in my opinion it looks like it melted and was deformed. It's a whole lot less sleek and attractive and looks off and lumpy in a bunch of places. You do you, ASC.

My guess is no, due to the 135 being larger/using a different mold and being much more infrequently sold compared to the T-128. Not sure though, time will tell.
