Sedgwick County, KS Refurbed Jailbar T-Bolt Ribbon Cutting

For those unaware, Sedgwick County has ditched ATI and is going all-in with Federal Signal. As part of this project, the four remaining jailbar Thunderbolts were rebuilt and painted (well, powdercoated) in the Bumblebolt scheme; three were reinstalled at fire stations and one was mounted to a trailer. On March 4th, Sedgwick County Emergency Management will be having a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the oldest of the 4... see details below.

Sunday, March 5th at 11am we’ll give a tour of Sedgwick County Emergency Management and our Emergency Operations Center. If you’re catching lunch afterwards, I’ll join. We can also stop in at the Wichita-Sedgwick County museum to check out the Civil Defense/Thunderbolt display.
Monday, March 6th at Noon, we’ll host a special test of the Thunderbolt at Wildwood Park with our last remaining 5M blower.
Tuesday, March 7th at 10am is our statewide tornado drill with a 5-min activation.
