An STH-10 is NOT a model L, The windup will be long. The model 5 seems to have pretty close to the same windup to me. STH-10's are very well known for their extremely long wind up and wind down. This is just normal for these sirens. Sure, they might take a little longer than a Model 2 or a Thunderbolt (Rotating Model 2t) but it's normal for a siren of this size

By the way, you should probably remove the abbreviated words like 2 and Y.

If the STH-10 is wired for 480V 3-phase it winds up pretty fast compared to 208-240V 3-phase or 240V single-phase (Single-Phase models only).

It depends on what the siren is wired for.

A 240V single phase version will wind up slow compared to a 3 phase 240v or 480 volt 3 phase model.

A 3 phase 240v model will wind up faster than the single phase counterpart. 3 phase motors don't have brushes compared to the single phase motors.

There are 208 volt 3 phase models out there. They wind up slower than 240 volt 3 phase and 480 but are a little quicker than 240 volt single phase.

One that I frequent is a 208v three phase version with a Valley motor. It's lasted a long time due to not needing the brushes to be changed every once in a while.
