Where is the sound loudest on the chopper?

Sun Oct 29, 2023 9:13 pm

Hello,

This is a question that I have been wanting to ask for a long time:

Where exactly does the most sound output come out of a siren chopper?
Is it the air intake or the ports, or are they all the same? If they are not the same, where does the loudest sound come out?

Sorry if this question is confusing, I can't think of how to clarify it further.

Thanks,
-205664

Depends on the siren, but most sirens output sound from the ports and the intake about equally.

The loudest sound on a siren chopper typically comes from the ports. They are designed to amplify and direct the sound, making it the most prominent. Hope that helps!

Like said above, most of the sound comes from the ports, it's where the action happens. Some of the sound does feed back out of the intake, but the sound level is marginal and is generally ignored in many designs.
