Even the EM lady calls them up!!! What idiots! Thanks to Adam Pollak for finding this.

Now, I want to know which member of this board called 911 to report that the siren was working?

Feed get more interesting towards the end.

Great:
"Yeah, I was just callin' to find out what that big 'ol siren was?"

"It's a tornado warning, not a test."

"So I should get in the basement?"

"Yes, you should..."

Gotta love the stupid people out there!

You can almost feel how annoyed she is!

uncommonsense

Absolutely unreal.

Obviously, people need to realize 911 is for reporting emergencies.

More than anything, I can't believe how many people proceeded to argue with the poor dispatcher about what to do or how to do it as though the person doesn't seem interested in their safety unless someone can tell them its actually there.

Weather doesn't quite work that way (nor does 911!).

BTW: The little old lady at the beginning frustrated me with her stupidity. You'll know what I mean if you listen.

O-My-Gosh! Retards!
I loved it where:
"911 Do you have an emergency"
"No, Bu"
"Please Hold"

"911"
"Whats the sire-"
"Its not a test, buh bye"

and also...
"911, Emergency?"
"Why are the Emergency"
"ITS A TORNADO WARNING"
"Really?"

...gez and I'm only at 3:00. Our County EM, as well as New Stations are constantly saying do not call 911 to ask why the sirens are going off, i can't believe that EM lady called!

That's one reason I only test my siren when the county test.
I wonder how many calls West Allis PD gets when I test my siren with the counties.

Oh and Jason Kenosha is in WI not Michigan (MI)

I think a lot of the calls were because it was January and People could not believe it. If it was March or latter you would not have that many calls.
I called a Friend who lives in kenosha County (Pleasant Prairie). right when the warning went on the cable system at work. I said Kevin are the sirens going There is a tornado warning. He thought I was joking with him until the P-50 went off right up the street from him He was on hwy 50 & I-94 I could hear the P-50 on my cell phone very clearly, the siren is just south of there by the IL state line. on I 94. He said next time he will believe me

I feel really sorry for the dispatchers.

Some people are so STUPID when it comes to the weather.

I love the lady at 1:45...

Caller - "Yeah, just wanna know why the sirens are goin off."
Dispatch - "It's not a test, it's a warning."
Caller - "Oh okay."
Dispatch - Okay thanks."
Caller - "Nothin to worry though right?"
Dispatch - "No that is something to worry about.
Caller - "Well I don't see nothin.."
Dispatch - "Okay, yeah well, it's there."

I can just feel the dispatch lady getting pissed. lol

Wow, not even half-way through the audio and like 5 people call to ask why the sirens were going off. They should have televised the reason for the siren's activation. I agree with you, jkvernon, that lady did say some pretty dumb things. [sarcasm]Oh yeah, a Tornado Warning means there's nothing to worry about  [/sarcasm]
