And that was all that I found. So I thought. By this time my light was crappy. Just like how it was off and on throughout the day. While Driving Back on US-12(Michigan Ave.) I came up to this.

It was on an OLD building (that had 2 Fallout Shelter Signs on it :D )
It was built back in 1894, It stated that this was part of several building on the property. So this part with the siren on it is probably from the 1930's-40's.

Great pics. Gotta love the shot of the Thunderbolt-1003 and the T-128. Keep up the work, the pics are cool.

Good job!

I imagine people who pass by the T-128 and Thunderbolt each day think "Why on earth are these two sirens so close together."
Awesome Pictures!

Awesome pictures. I particularly appreciate the one of the psychiatric hospital, being an urban explorer and all. Also, these pictures have finally taught me the difference between a Tbolt 1000 and a 1003.

Thanks!
Glad you like them.
I figure that it's better to go out searching than to sit at home on these 9-12 degree days.

The pic of the 1003 and T-128 is my new computer background.

I would like to search around that hospital, but will all the driveways blocked off and the State police post right next to it. It would be very risky.

Man, that's cold enough to freeze the ball-bearings off a brass Modulator.

Great pics! That Model 5 you found on 8 Mile Rd. is actually part of Northville's system. It is technically in Oakland County but in Northville city limits. I've actually heard it run with Northville's TBolt on a test day when I was at my friend's house near 9 Mile and Taft. Northville seems to test a little later than everyone else because a few minutes after Novi's 2001s wound down, I clearly heard that Model 5 and TBolt.

It appears to be still wired.
Is that all Northville has? Were you would think a siren should be, there wasn't.

And with the T-Bolt, it looks like it only has the RCM panel and power switch. I would presume that the control would be in the PD? using Phone lines? I ask cause the 8 mile only had the wiring, no antenna.
