How do I take the motor off the Model L, IE separate it from the chopper and stator?

I’m trying to replace the motor, I see no screws or spots to detach it

There might be a chance you contact Federal Signal’s support team/customer support or find a manual for your model L.

I’ve never opened up a newer L before, but if you remove the rotor there should be some hardware holding the stator to the motor body, and under that there may be hardware to be removed to access the innards.

i don´t think you can just pull off the chopper/rotor.

You should be able to. Remove the two set screws from the rotor then lightly tap on the shaft as you pull up on the rotor, it should come off, but heat and/or penetrant may be needed.
