The Siren Board

I found this video on Youtube. It's a Thunderbolt 1000T doing a one cycle test. It's one of those rare 1000T's with 4/5 ports. I am visually impaired, so I can't see the video, and I can't tell you whether I think it looks real or not. It sure sounds real. Check it out.

That siren belongs Charles (kx250rider) here on the board. I think it is a 5/6 T-bolt, I'm pretty sure he will see this thread and answer your question.

It's a 4/5, but was originally a single tone. The former owner replaced the chopper. Here's another video from this past New Years Eve, when I really let it roar for several minutes. In the background is my Model 5, which isn't yet "installed", and I'm cycling it manually.

Charles, did you turn off the rotator, and what did your neighbors think? Now that I've heard it recorded from further away, I can tell that it has a 1000 chopper motor in it, because in parts of the winddowns, the pitch drops faster. The model 5 could be heard louder than the TBolt. Great video, and I liked the woman's reaction at the end. Where did you film this? It sounds like you were inside of a building.

I keep the rotator off, so as not to aim the horn at the house, or at the horse hospital down the hill. On New Years Eve, the wind was so bad that I had to use a motorcycle tiedown to keep the horn from blowing around.

The camera was in the kitchen, and I just used the built-in mic. It's an older Canon S-230 digital camera.

That's cool! Did you do this at midnight?

I sounded both of them right at midnight. I would have added a few M-80s, but the windy dry weather was too dangerous to do that.
