Federal Signal C5LB Oxidisation

Mon Feb 10, 2025 12:25 pm

Hello,

A few days ago I noticed a small patch of green oxidised metal on my Federal Signal C5LB. I'll take a photo later tonight if it's needed, but I suspect it originated from when I took this siren out to test it in a remote location, as it began to rain during the testing. I tried my best to wipe all the water away, but maybe I missed a droplet.

Anyway, I'd really appreciate some advice on how to treat this, and also I'd like some information on exactly what kind of metal the housing of this siren is made of.

Thanks for reading,

Of course, let me know if you need other angles.

I apologise for the low-quality and blur of some of the images. The first two pictures are screenshots from a video I took, as I didn't have any photos of the tag taken before I noticed the oxidisation.

You can spot the patch of green oxidisation just underneath the tag to the right.
