The Siren Board

So, I got the help from a friend of mine back in May of 2024 to acquire two 4/5 port Thunderbolts from West Shore Services. He took one for himself and I took the other. The serial number on it is "T-1442-D", the serial number seems to be close to some other Thunderbolts around Michigan. Would anyone have a clue where its from or have any hints? Its a 1959 A2 5M 4/5, it showed up to West Shore Services around the mid/late 1990's to the early 2000's. Not sure if that'll help but that's all I got. My guess for the past while is its from somewhere in the Detroit metro.

EDIT: I'm changing my best guess to be Kalamazoo. The year matches the same year the still standing Thunderbolt on the roof was installed, and they even are both a 4/5 port! The only problem is that the serial number isn't known for the one still standing, and the one in the database of a removed one is in the 3000 range. I'm still going with Kalamazoo.

West Shore Services has some sirens from out of state, so there is a chance this is from another system from a different state!

That's what I originally thought too, but if i remember correctly, I found out they only had the one 4/5 that's still currently in place.

I swear the one in the database was a different removed one, it said so on there too. The serial number for yours is also in the database as well, but no info is given about it, although it was marked as a 1000 for some reason. My second guess was Detroit, so if it isn't Kalamazoo I'll go with Detroit!

I don't know why, but it always seems the things that I try to show people they end up being a contributor to them! I'm going to have to start assuming everyone knows what I mean now

A little off topic, but I think I can help with some more of Lansing's Thunderbolt serial numbers. 15 of them were originally installed in 1965, with some more added on to the system in later years. The serial numbers for those original ones should be very similar to eachother, but I don't know what the exact numbers are for each of the locations. When I go back to WSS, I I'll try to remember to take note of them!

I would assume this could have been in Oakland County's old system, the time frame for when this could have shown up at WSS would make sense since They started removing their thunderbolt's not long after September 11th. Oakland county had a mixture of different port ratios including 4/5 port units, with one still remaining in Madison Heights.
