I haven't seen this one posted here yet, and it was just recently added to YouTube. I can't hear the blower, but this siren definitely has one.

Indeed. KDK thanks as usual. You are lucky to have such a good mix of sirens in the AMA area. Just get all the good ones before the 2001's take over.

I'm not a big fan of the 2001's either. Their pitch is way too high, and they sound like toys compared to TBolts, or even T-128's or T-135's. If they're going to replace the TBolts, I'd rather them be replaced with T-128's and T-135's, than 2001's. There used to be a volunteer fire department siren in my area, all the way from the early 1980's to about 1990, that sounded just like a 2001. I'm not sure what that siren was, but it did rotate. I know it wasn't a 2001, because I don't think they came out until 1988. Does anyone know what that siren could have been? It wasn't quite as loud as a 2001, or even a TBolt.

Maybe this siren? Its a P15 and is manufactured by American Signal

Not that one. The siren I'm talking about was the exact same pitch as a 2001. The siren you linked me to sounds more like an older T-128.

You could have been hearing a Thunderbeam, they are high pitched

Here is a video of one in Attack,

Just a possibility

It's still not the same siren. The one I heard was a little higher pitched, and the windup was a little faster
