I don't know about it being 2 feet away, but none the less it was still close!

100 feet away is too close for me. Being that close is ridiculous. Wonder if they are hard of hearing now?

When I made that up close recording of the Thunderbolt 1000T at Doss Highschool, I was probably no more than 30 feet away from that siren. I could hear the chopper wind down clearly after the blower shut off, and there was not much difference in volume as the siren rotated. I could feel the car I was sitting in vibrating with the low undertone, which was about 110 HZ. That's the closest I've ever been to any siren while it was sounding. It was loud there, but not as loud as I expected it to be.
