I'm not too sure what the low-pitched siren you are hearing is. Gainesville has never had Whelens that I was aware of. Maybe they had older electronic sirens somewhere and I never saw them.

Thanks for the vid, Dylan! That could be my T-bolt you are hearing (or Mike's).

The lower pitched siren sounds like an ACA/ASC siren, possibly a lower pitched T-128, or even the new T-135 AC/DC. It could even be a lower pitched Federal Thunderbolt 1000. It's definitely not a Whelen, though it's the same pitch as some Whelens. If you listen to it close, you can hear that it's an electro-mechanical siren. It may also be having rotator problems. The other sirens you're hearing are definitely dual tone Thunderbolts.

I believe Gainesville proper has ASC RM127s (basically the predecessor to the T-128), but its been a while since I've been in Cooke County. (not since the day after the Big Flood of 2007)

They've never had Whelens that I am aware of.

I think you are right. That deeper sounding siren does not have the typical Whelen sound of any sorts. This does sound mechanical so my guess would be some kind of American signal siren. Very nice sound though!!

The only siren I've seen in Gainesville is a gen 1 T-135.
I might be wrong though.

At present the only sirens I am/have been aware of in Gainesville were Thunderbolts (removed), T-135AC, and 2001s.
